Camping in below zero temperatures (eep!) is going to be a challenge and we're hoping to at least have the option of paying a couple of bucks extra for a powered site in the Warrumbungle National Park Campground. Seriously, I hate the cold! My electric blanket and a little heater is going to make all the difference in the world to 1. my sanity, 2. my relationship with my husband and 3. my ability to get warm.
The lack of greens to eat is a concern. I'll be taking jars and what not for sprouting on the dash board of the car while we are at work. I have a supply of seeds from my own garden: red onion, mustard, fenugreek, broccoli, beans and fennel. I read somewhere that you can sprout the dried split peas used for soup and also lentils, which I have in the pantry so will give it a go.
We will be out of internet and phone range but I will keep a diary, take lots of photos and update this blog when we get back to civilization.
